Two in court for sex charges

TWO men in their 40s appeared in the Lae committal court on Friday to face charges of molesting and raping an 11-year-old girl last June and December.
Magistrate Tera Dawai remanded George Willie, 40, from Chimbu’s Chuave, and Luke Peter Boi, 45, from Chimbu’s Kerowagi.
Both the accused were from different blocks in Lae’s West Taraka.
The court heard that the men violated a girl in West Taraka by using their fingers to fondle her vagina before raping her.
According to police investigations, the girl went to Willie’s rented accommodation in Butu Block in September with a friend who later left.
Willie then allegedly stripped the girl, molested and raped her.
He was arrested by Lae police. The girl and her friend went to Boi’s house where she was again allegedly sexually violated.
Boi allegedly sodomised the girl twice and raped her four times.
Boi surrendered to police on Feb 18 and alleged that the girl had asked for money before violating her sexually.
Dawai adjourned the hearing to May 22.
