Man buried alive in gravel pit
AN excavator operator was buried alive when the machine he was operating rolled into a gravel pit near the Vanimo airport in West Sepik, provincial police commander Moses Ibsagi said.
“He was working on the gravel pit on Saturday, at the Wusipi backroad when the excavator sank into the loose soil and capsized, throwing the operator out to the side of the pit,” he said.
“Unfortunately, the gravel pit collapsed causing a landslip and the loose soil covered him, burying him alive.”
Commander Ibsagi said the operator was pulled out and taken to Vanimo General Hospital.
“His body is now at the morgue and police are investigating his death.”
Ibsagi said the operator was employed by construction company that is building the extension of the runway .

Result of not wearing seatbelts.
Correct and charge that construction company for not stressing safety controls to its employees
Exactly!! Remember safety first.
How can the operator be thrown out of the excavator if the excavator is protected by wind screens. Logic.
