A man has died from injuries he sustained after he was assaulted by his former brother-in-law in Enga, says provincial police commander acting Supt Ephenes Nili. He said the man was defending his sister who was previously married to the deceased. “The former husband arrived at the Lanekep village on the outskirts of Wabag town, allegedly drunk to see his ex-wife,” he said. “Whatever happened between the two we don’t know, but in anger he began to beat his ex-wife and threatened anyone who wanted to help her. The brother of the woman assaulted the man, killing him. Police when told of the incident went to the village to look for the man.  “He surrendered to police. “An accomplice who was with him is still on the run. “We urge him to turn himself in to police.” Meanwhile, a man is on the run after injuring another with a bush knife at Mukurumanda in Wapenamanda.
