Man killed at 8-Mile

A young man was decapitated during a fight that broke out between Eastern Highlanders and Helas over a petty street at 8-Mile in Port Moresby on Thursday.
The fight started between the two groups when a young man from Eastern Highlands stole a mobile phone from a bystander, Gordon Police Station minor crimes officer-in-charge Apollos Terry said.
Terry said the police, who went to the scene, could not locate the person responsible.
He said petty crime was everywhere and resulted in such ethnic violence and killings.
Police will gather all information before starting investigations.
