A 50-YEAR-OLD man was killed following a fight between Green Hill and Boram junction youths in East Sepik’s Wewak last Sunday night.
East Sepik commander Supt Albert Beli said the fight started when three youths from Green Hill were attacked near the police barracks in Boram.
“The trio were attacked when they went over to speak to a relative of a policeman who had attacked their sister who was his girlfriend.
“They then mobilised and marched to the Boram junction and a fight broke out.”
Supt Beli said the youths from Boram junction managed to push back the youths from Green Hill and chased them along the beachfront.
“In the process, the man from Angoram’s Keram local level government was slashed several times.
“He was sent to the hospital where he was pronounced dead,” he added.
