A 23 YEAR-OLD man involved in a robbery of a mini supermarket at Sabama pleaded guilty to armed robbery.
Justice Panuel Mogish yesterday at the National Court said according to state evidence, Adam Eric from Gomio village, Chuave, Chimbu, was involved in an armed robbery with six others where K2,700 was stolen from Rahamatulla Holdings at Sabama.
The court was told that Eric Harry Yawa, Kelly Lavai and accomplices arrived in an unmarked vehicle.
The vehicle was later found to have been stolen on July 5, 2016, the same day the robbery was committed.
Eric and his accomplices arrived at the mini supermarket with the stolen vehicle armed with pistols and bush knives.
Eric and his accomplices walked into the shop and pointed their weapons at customers and staff and proceeded to remove the money from three cash registers.
One of the cash registers was taken in the robbery.
A police unit from Badili was alerted and they pursued the vehicle into a dead end at the back of the PNG Power training centre where the suspects fled on foot.
Eric, Yawa and Lavai were arrested by police while four others escaped.
The ruling on sentence will be delivered today.
