A 25-YEAR-OLD man was knifed in the back and killed by his ex-wife in the China Harbour Camp in Central’s Sabusa on Saturday.
Police commander Chief Supt Johannes Yapi said the murder occurred at about 11.30pm when the victim was in the company of a few friends.
“The ex-wife confronted the victim and an argument ensued,” he said.
“The woman then pulled out a knife and stabbed him in the back.”
Yapi said the victim was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
“The ex-wife has been arrested and will be charged when investigations are completed,” he said.
Both the victim and murder suspect were from Tapini’s Woitape village.
In another incident at 14-Mile, Yapi said a man, 25, from Goilala’s Guari was murdered in his house by an unknown intruder on Saturday.
The victim was slashed in the neck while he was asleep.
Police are investigating the motive for the murder.
