PRIME Minister James Marape is confident that he has the support to ensure his government survives the political challenge he is facing.
“We will reorganise government,” Marape said.
“We want a structure that will take us through 2021 and 2022.
“I am interested in a body of young like-minded leaders who want to transform PNG for the better.
“Parliament has created another exciting moment in our history.
“Parliament is always full of fun and life amid serious businesses we have to do for our country.
“Today we witnessed another occasion of Parliament business being conducted PNG-style with members shifting and jostling.”
With 52 MPs on the government side, Marape said they voted to entertain the opposition’s motion to adjourn Parliament.”
Marape said initially they had only 39 MPs.
“We had 39 but our numbers had built up to 52. In a house of 110 MPs, minus Sir Mekere Morauta, we have 52 on our side here and their 57 who voted in line with the motion to adjourn Parliament to Dec 1.
“That is normal parliament business. Numbers swung their way and the opposition leader felt that he had the muscle to control take control of parliament proceedings.
“I’m thankful to the first-term and second-term and few senior members among us a group of leaders who want to do the right thing for the country.
“We changed government in 2019 we moved away from the status quo that was rife with corruption, subscribing to corporate interest, multi-national greed for a few.”

  • The whole of PNG is with you!!!!!!!Wok Mas Go Stret!

There wont be a VONC!!!!!!!!!!!! PNG has reacted……, A VONC will only attract a nationwide protest!

  • Believers we stand in unity for our leaders that they have and recognise God’s Peace. That they seek almighty Yahweh for knowledge and wisdom to guide them in this time to ensure they make constructive decisions in Parliament. That no greed and selfish minds will distort the process of Parliament but ” Word of God prevails”. God Bless PNG
