Marape: Read budget, note positive aspects that will benefit you

PRIME Minister James Marape has urged MPs in the Opposition to read the 2021 national budget and take note of the positive aspects of it which will benefit them.
“(It is) the budget that Sam Basil signed off on when he was the National Planning Minister after it went through seven cabinet processes,” he said.
“Treasurer Ian Ling Stuckey tabled it (on Nov 17) in Parliament.
“That budget has a hallmark of even distribution throughout the country.
“I ask the MPs locked at Crowne Plaza Hotel (Opposition camp) to pick up a copy.
“At least there is an allocation of resources to all the districts.”
He said it had moved away from the district and provincial service improvement programmes to allocations for roads to benefit copra, cocoa, coffee and other commodities in the 89 districts.
He said 2021 would be spent on preparing for the 2022 national election.
“We will start afresh in 2021 to start our schools and from February to April, we will have the national census and common roll updates in preparation for the 2022 national elections,” he said.
“We will tidy up the common roll and the election process for 2022.”
The prime minister said the budget would benefit all MPs.

  • What about the “No one will lose their Jobs” and “Everyone will be compensated” statements made to former employees of PJV. Do they still have their jobs and did they ever get compensated after losing their jobs? So which part of the positive aspects in this budget will they have to read off from that will benefit them? False prophets with false hopes leading this nation right into the pits of Hell!!
