STUDENTS from Yangoru–Saussia in East Sepik have been urged to score good grades and secure spaces at a new high school at Wingei.
Local MP Richard Maru was pleased with the locals from the Wingei area.
He said the people realised the importance of education and allocated land for the new Wingei High School.
Maru said that the high school would start enrolling its first grade nine next year.
Speaking at the opening of the four in one classroom at Bugusu Primary school, a feeder school of the new high school, Maru said: I do not want student from other electorates to be enrolled at the school because I spend money from my district to build the school.
“You student must perform and fill in all the space at the school.”
