Marum a winner

Letters

I REFER to Timothy Lepa’s comments on his change of heart about coach Michael Marum in yesterday’s The National.
I would say his comment is self-serving and has embarrassed himself.
The PNG Rugby Football League has appointed different coaches, including Mal Meninga.
I was one of the many who criticised Mal’s recruitment and the Kumuls did not win a game under him.
Marum was assistant to both Lam and Meninga and when he took over as coach of the Hunters and the Kumuls, he did very well.
He took the Hunters to the finals in the first four seasons and won the grand final of the Intrust Super Cup.
Marum won his first international game for the Kumuls in 2016 against the Fiji Bati in Sydney.
He again coached the Kumuls to win against the Cook Islands last year and beat Fiji again this year. Marum coached the Kumuls to the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
What made Lepa criticise Marum? Tell us.
