Media association urged to assist sports

PNG Olympic Committee secretary-general Auvita Rapilla has challenged the Papua New Guinea Sports Media Association to help develop sports in the country following the election of its interim executives.
Nineteen members from various media and sporting organisations voted at a meeting in Port Moresby on Friday.
High Performance Sports PNG media officer Peter Sevara Jr was elected as president, Post Courier’s Kevin Teme and Priscilla Harry as vice-president and secretary respectively, and Troy Taule, of LoopPNG and TVWan, as treasurer.
Rapilla, who oversaw and facilitated the election, challenged the executives and members of to the association to help develop sports in PNG.
