THE South Pacific Brewery-sponsored Media Pool Competition (MPC) will cue off its pre-season in Port Moresby next Saturday.
The season will cue off two weeks later on March 20 with a 24-team competition using the round-robin format, according to MPC chairman Kepson Pundu.
Pundu made the announcement after his re-election at the annual general meeting on Saturday where he and most of his executives, including Murray Vila (deputy chairman) and Dr Sam Yockopua, were re-elected unopposed.
The only change was the election of Vali Tomiyawau as treasurer, replacing Lillian Tesheira.
Pundu thanked all the teams for their continued trust and support towards his management team.
He also named Joey Chan as tournament director, Numa Alu as judiciary chairman, Kelly Yambi as youth representative and Colin Taimbari as a special adviser.
The MPC constitution was also passed unanimously and adopted for implementation from this year.
Pundu said SP Brewery confirmed last week that they would come onboard in a big way as major sponsors for 2021 and the company would make an announcement soon.
