Members establish fellowship

THE Potter’s House International Church, under the Christian Apostolic Fellowship Church in PNG, was born out of a vision about five years ago.
Pastor Gabriel Sebastian and some members agreed to do away with regionalism in churches and have a church where all Papua New Guineans in Port Moresby could worship together.
In 2011, 15 members started the fellowship in one of the classrooms at Wardstrip Primary School in Gordon.
Members conducted outreach programmes in public places.
They also visited hospitals and prisons.
During the programmes, many people wanted to change their lives by committing themselves to the Word of God.
Pastor Gabriel Sebastian said as the outreach programmes continued, more people joined the church.
“We bought a tent for K30,000 in 2013 which can accommodate 200 people for Sunday services,” Sebastian said.
In 2015, they secured a land at Kennedy Estate in Seven-Mile where they planned to build a new church which could accommodate up to 1000 people.
The members are selling lottery tickets to raise funds to build the church at a cost of K500,000.
