Apostolic churches hold centenary conference

APOSTOLIC churches around the world held their centenary conference in Cheltenham, United Kingdom (UK), from July 30 to Aug 3.
National church leader Pastor Waiman Kati and wife Ruth led a group of 21 people, including Pastor Matthew Tapus and wife Pastor Linda Tapus, to the conference.
Kati said it was an honour to attend the conference because it was where the apostolic movement started with the Wales Revival in 1916.
He mingled around with church leaders from 100 countries. “The Apostolic Church has more than 50 million members around the world as revealed during the conference,” Kati said.
“Nigeria in Africa alone has 16 million.”
He said missionaries from Wales, UK, went to Australia and New Zealand before reaching PNG, especially Mamal in Laiagam, Enga in 1954.
“Now PNG has more than 400 CAF churches,” Kati said.
