THE one-day Nasfund employer conference in Lae on Wednesday saw many participants not happy with the rules that cover housing advance.
Under the current terms and conditions, a member can access funds only to build a house where he or she is living and not where he or she is originally from, like at the village, for example.
Participants and employers did not like that and asked Nasfund to make changes.
Prominent Lae personality Benson Nablu said the issue was the availability of land and suggested that Nasfund work with Lands and other stakeholders to make land available for members.
Another participant, Manase Rumbai, said many contributors did not have land at the city or town they lived and worked in and needed to go home to build their homes.
He said Nasfund had to be flexible with the housing deal it was ofeering.
Nasfund said the company wanted to see land made available for members to build their homes.
