Minister commends Apec authority

Agriculture and Livestock Minister Benny Allan has commended the PNG Apec Coordination Authority for a great week for the agriculture and fisheries sector.
Allan told media conference yesterday at the International Convention Centre that he was pleased with the display of many products in the agriculture and fisheries sector.
“It’s a privilege for me to come and look at some of our Papua New Guineans in agriculture and fisheries sector showcasing what they produce and manufacture locally in the country,” he said.
“It’s a very important week for us with the Apec team, under the leadership of Prime Minister Peter O’Neill, doing an excellent job in terms of promoting our country.”
Allan said the Food Security Week, which started last Saturday, will end tomorrow.
He commended everyone in the agriculture and fisheries sectors for their efforts.
He visited all the micro to small and medium enterprise stalls at the ICC including cocoa, coffee, vegetables and fish farmers and producers of chocolate and other products.
Wang Jing from the Agricultural Information Institute of the Chinese Academy of Agriculture Sciences was impressed by the display of many products.
