Minister’s priorities all wrong

Letters

AS a teacher, I would like to raise an issue with the Education Minister on behalf of the tax payers and the silent majority.
We are being informed that the minster is currently overseas attending a meeting with his secretary.
That meeting could have well been attended by a technical officer from the Education Department and not the minister.
Since he has been out of the country, he has missed out on attending to Parliament sessions at a time when most schools are closing up due to lack of sufficient funding.
Where are the minister’s priorities?
Does his priorities lie in collecting huge US dollars paid to him on this trip or does his priorities lie in the welfare of the students and their learning at this time of the Coronavirus (Covid-19)?
