Ministers should remain for sitting

Letters

I watched Fridays Parliament session broadcast on TV with great interest but what made me angry was a good number of the parliamentarians on both sides acting unwisely during the grievance debate in which some walked out of the chamber and did not return while other MPs were debating pressing issues affecting the country.
Many of these members were Government ministers who are supposed to remain seated to answer questions raised in relation to their ministries.
I support the statement made by the Member for Kiriwina-Goodenough who said that all Government ministers should present in the chamber to observe the grievance debate and answer questions directed to them.
On that note, the Parliament Speaker should ensure everyone must remain until the sitting is over.
