Mint reveals successful business year, among top selling brands

MINTT has now become the number two successful mobile phone brand in PNG and selling more phones than Huawei, Oppo, Redmi and Alcatel, according to general manager Damian Des.
Des told The National when providing an update on the progress of Mintt’s business in 2019. He said Mintt had a very successful year in PNG and had also launched into Australia in August.
“Mintt grew significantly in 2019 and continued to be PNGs favourite phone,” he said.
“We have a new feature phone priced at K59 with a bigger screen and the most popular 4G Smartphone at K399. There will be a release of a new model in April (2020) with the Mintt A5,” he said.
“The only challenge we faced with Mintt in 2019 was having enough stock to supply all of the customers. Unfortunately we ran out of stock of two of our most popular Mintt phones, the Mintt Uno at K49 and Mintt Flip at K69.
“But we now have them back in stock and selling well again.
“After a successful launch in Australia during 2019, Mintt smartphones are available in a number of the south Pacific countries and continue to grow in sales.
“With a focus on affordable prices and great quality, we will continue to sponsor and support a number of charities and sporting teams in PNG during 2020.”
