Missing man’s body retrieved from beach

THE body of a Southern Highlander from Undiapu village in Pangia believed to have drowned on Easter Sunday at Voco Point, Lae, was retrieved the next night.
Voco Point Police Station commander Chief Sgt Brian Panda said the body was floating not far from where the man was believed to have drowned.
The deceased was Kenneth Pia, in his mid-40s, married with four children.
He worked for KC-2 along Cassowary Road as a private night guard.
Pia was reported missing after he went for a swim at Voco Point beachfront on Easter Sunday.
