Mission gets gifts

GOODMAN Fielder Ltd in Lae donated 10 bags  of 10kg Mother’s Choice rice and 50 bags of10kg Flame flour to the Lae City Mission last week.
Sales supervisor Richard Yaking said they decided to help after learning that the mission lost goods and suffered damage to properties after a raid by settlers at Nine- Mile outside Lae last month.
The mission looks after 100 youth from broken homes and who have little or no education at all, and are given vocational training which helps them find jobs or have them return to their villages with their acquired skills.The mission also runs Haus Clare, on Coronation Drive at Top Town, which is for vulnerable children.
