THE air condition system at the Pacific MMI building in Port Moresby is now up and running, according to the building manager.

Sebea Gabutu said the system will be fully restored this week to the entire building after the contractor, Daikin, fixed the problem last week.

This is after the entire building went without air condition last October due to technical problems to the main supply system.

Gabutu said the only level which was yet to receive air condition was the ground floor, as parts were needed from Australia.

He said the ground floor service would be restored by end of the week.

He said technicians were closely monitoring the situation to ensure that the system was fully restored before it is commissioned for operation.

The owner of the building, MRDC responded to the problem after the Health Division of the National Capital District Commission condemned the building two weeks ago.

The National spoke to some tenants who confirmed the problem saying the  air condition system that did not work has been restored and that they were back working.
