COLIN Wiltshire powered Moni Plus to thrash Primus 105-65 last Sunday at FILBA 11th season at the Don Bosco Indoor Gymnasium in Gabutu, Port Moresby.
Moni Plus forward Wiltshire played his best game of the season firing 25 points on top of 15 rebounds.
It was tight game at the start as Primus started strong courtesy of Ogie Nicholas who fired a three-point shot in the first salvo.
Nicholas also provided good assists to Henry Yutuc who scored nine points in the first quarter.
Primus took an early lead but Moni Plus forwards Gerry Roxas and Wiltshire countered to grab the lead 17-16.
Moni Plus moved the ball well during the second quarter to establish a good eight- point lead at the break with a score of 40-32.
The money lenders stepped up on defence and sparked a rally in the 3rd quarter, limiting Primus to 11 points while pounding the score board for 26.
Moni Plus’ Bing Regondola and Gerry Roxas nailed two 3-pointers each on this quarter to run away in the closing to a 76-49 scoreline.
Primus forward Henry Yutuc netted a triple but this was not enough to stop the rampaging Moni Plus scoring 29 points in the last quarter to Primus’ 16.
Meanwhile, Eltech’s dream of winning a three-repeat is still very much alive when they won by default against Red Sea.
The final top four is slowly shaping up for the 11th season championship.
On Sunday, Red Sea will meet Primus in the early game, Moni Plus face Wel Builders in the second and Propest clash with SVS Mart in the third game.
