GRADE 12 students in Morobe completed their written expression examination without any hiccups yesterday, says Gibson Dom, the province’s secondary school inspector.
More than 28,000 students around the country sat for the three-hour examination which was based on the hosting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (Apec) meeting in Port Moresby in November. There were 2592 students from Morobe.
Dom said reports coming in from all secondary schools in the province indicated that everything ran smoothly.
“Exams started and finished on time,” Dom said.
“There were also no reports of cheating or exam papers being sold on the streets.”
Dom said the second examination for grade 12 would be in October.
Meanwhile, in Port Moresby, it was the first for grade 12 students at the Koiari Park Adventist Secondary School to sit the exam.
Principal Silas Wagi was confident the students would do well because they had prepared well.
External invigilators from the Marienville Secondary School assisted.
Education Secretary Uke Kombra said the exam papers were sent to schools a week before the exam.
