ALL 16 Moresby South Rugby League clubs have until tomorrow to settle their affiliation fee of K1,500 each to be eligible for the upcoming season which kicks off next weekend.
League treasurer Bagelo Solien warned clubs that the deadline would not be extended.
He said the player registration fee remained at K50.
“All the player registration fees will be paid to the PNG Rugby Football League Southern Confederation to be eligible for sanctioned programmes and activities,” Solien said.
“We will not accept instalments as some clubs have failed to settle their outstanding fees on time in the past.”
He said clubs would face suspension from the competition if they failed to comply with the league requirements. “Club executives must step up,” Solien said.
The former Papua New Guinea Orchids coach said the league had given ample for the clubs to get their houses in order after the JT Super Nines Cup tournament which took place in March.
The existing clubs are Taurama Wolfpack, Six-Mile Crows, Vadavada United, Gabutu Dragons, Kaugere Bulldogs, Southern Sons, Sab City Raiders, Joyce Bay Roosters, Koki Eels, Two-Mile Pearl, Talai Spartans, Korobosea Souths, Kipo Eastern Pride, Kaugere Seagulls and Kone Eagles.
“We have re-admitted Vabukori Mosquitos for the new season, making it a 16-club competition,” Solien said.
Meanwhile, competition manager Moses Kumbi warned all clubs to be in full uniform all season as part of efforts to lift the standard of the league.
