Mother of three raped and killed in Western H’lands

A MOTHER of three was raped and killed inside a kunai haus (traditional home) after the owner left for the Goroka Show last Friday in Western Highlands, police said.
Provincial police commander Chief Inspector Jacob Kamiak said the incident happened between midnight and 1am at Gabina village, Mt Hagen Central.
He said the deceased, Las Koim, was 25 to 35 years old and from Ambra village in Mt Hagen.
Police said that she was raped and murdered inside the kunai haus.
“When police was alerted and went inside, they found several condoms lying on the ground inside the house and the woman had bruises and was dead,” Kamiak said.
He said investigations were continuing.
