Moti report to be tabled

PRIME Minister Sir Michael Somare will table the Moti Inquiry report in Parliament today.
Sir Michael said yesterday that the report would be tabled today after being cleared by the National Executive Council.
He was responding to Deputy Opposition Leader Bart Philemon who asked when inquiry reports, including Moti, would be tabled in Parliament.
Sir Michael said the Queensland courts had quashed charges against Julian Moti.
“We made flower and dance about it and the Queensland courts have quashed his charges,” Sir Michael said.
Moti, a former Solomon Islands attorney-general wanted by Australia over child sex charges, was spirited on a PNG Defence Force plane into Solomon Islands after he was held in Port Moresby in 2007.
