Move for expat teachers praised

Letters

I applaud the move to bring teachers from India to improve science and mathematics education in the country.
It will have a chain-reaction effect in the education of teachers in the elementary, primary and secondary schools sector through a partnership programme with India.
It creates a gigantic challenge for our national science and mathematics teachers in Papua New Guinea to attain and maintain high standards.
It’s a creative concept. We are partners not spectators. Seeing our education system going down the drain, you as the minister responsible cannot continue looking and not do anything.
I personally will actively support this in whichever way possible.
I am teaching grade 11 and 12 mathematics A/B and chemistry.
