Education reform not wise

Letters

THE government’s strategy to reform the education system in the country is an unwise, untimely and unhealthy approach towards the development of human capital in the nation.
The idea of doing away with grade 8 and 10 examinations starting next year is obviously an adopted education system.
It is widely practised by developed countries.
We are a Third World country because we still lack development in all sectors of the economy.
And the only way to break through the barrier and move forward is through education.
For the benefit of our future generations and the country, the government should not do away with grade 8 and 10 exams.
Let the current education system remain.
