MOROBE Governor Kelly Naru has described the sacking of Lae MP Loujaya Kouza from the ruling People’s National Congress as “disappointing and disgraceful”.

He said that yesterday, flanked by Kouza and Bulolo MP and Deputy Opposition Leader Sam Basil, after the Lae MP was sacked by PNC on Wednesday.

Opposition Leader Don Polye, Rabaul MP Dr Allan Marat and Goilala MP William Samb were also present to show their support for Kouza.

“My view on this, is that the way a good Lae MP is kicked out from the Government and the People’s National Congress? It is indeed a very, very disappointing act,” Narusaid.

“Not only is it a disappointing act, it is a disgraceful act, for a MP who has given her commitment to the Government, to the party, through her representation of the interests of the people of Lae and Morobe province.

Naru said he totally disagreed with the way that a Morobe leader, Fisheries Minister and Tewai-Siassi MP Mao Zeming, was tasked with sacking another Morobean.

“This is completely unnecessary, wrong and uncalled for,” he said.
