MP: Financial services will help people

GAZELLE MP Jelta Wong says access to financial services can help people manage risks better, develop their businesses and build a better life.
He said at the opening of a new East New Britain Savings and Loans (ENBSL) agent at Vunakabi in Toma- Vunadidir that rural people should open bank accounts and benefit from the available products.
This is to ease the burden of banking and drive people to save money and invest in self-development.
“ENBSL is one of the savings and loans institutions making a profit in the country without any pay intervention by the Government,” he said. “This indicates the sound leadership of its board and management, resulting in positive growth.” He said Gazelle’s support for the ENBSL proved that it had the people’s interest at heart by introducing people into the formal financial sector.
