MPs should stop fooling people

Letters

SOME MPs have abandoned their electorates.
Some reside for most of their terms in Port Moresby.
They have forgotten their responsibilities.
They have forgotten their promises to their constituents.
These MPs did everything to deceive their people into believing in them and giving them the power.
Voters fell victims to their deceptive tactics.
After they were declared MPs, they forgot about the promises they made to the people.
The first years in Parliament are for MPs to recoup what they spent during their campaign.
The next two years are spent on offshore investments, private contract companies and businesses that serves their own interests.
In the fifth year, they show up in their electorates funding projects here and there.
They use their electorates’ funds to buy favours from people.
Most MPs appear to work hard during the fifth year of their terms.
There are some voters who are more than willing to lay down their lives just so that MPs can have their way. MPs should be spending most of their time in their electorates.
The only time spent in Port Moresby should be during Parliament sessions.
When it is almost election time, they turn to their electorates, funding sports activities, dishing out money to church groups, youth groups, associations and so forth.
Where did they get these money from?
Why are they giving out money when services need improvement?
MPs should stop such practices because they are lying to their people.
The people should be able to identify such MPs.
We should not continue to be fooled.
Enough is enough.
We need good leaders.
