THE Port Moresby Corporate Rugby League Nines top eight was shook up at Bava Park on Saturday night. Wins to Brian Bell 1 and NCDC 2 saw the two sides rise up the ladder into the top half of the last 16.
The sides are now in contention to play for the cup while those in the lower eight will compete for the bowl and pennant titles.
After seven rounds, Funeral Home are the minor premiers with 21 points, followed by Spidertek 19, Northbuild 19, PNG Power 19, PWC 19, PNG Property 18, NCDC (2) 15 and Brian Bell (1) 15 in the top eight. The bowl and pennant positions sees Puma Energy 15, ANZ Bank 15, Gapi Consultancy 14, AES 14, BSP 14, Brian Bell (2) 14, GFI 13 and NSTL 13. The Department of Finance, Bishop Brothers and Nasfund (13pts each)just out miss out on the playoffs.
