THE Mt Hagen district court reopened on Wednesday after being closed for a week following a burglary.
Thieves broke in to the court registry office and stole three computers containing court files and documents on Feb 17.
Out of the three computers, one was returned in good condition, another was returned with a replacement while the third was damaged beyond repair.
Acting court clerk Maria Piakon said the district court was now functioning normally.
She thanked surrounding communities and their leaders for their assistance in recovering the computers.
She said the burglars identities were known and police would be making arrests soon.
The burglars cut through the court house the fence, beat up a security guard andforced him to lie on the ground, face down, while they forced open the door.
