Construction workers discover war relics

CONSTRUCTION workers in several spots around Lae have in the past weeks unearthed war relics.
The latest was yesterday when 12 workers involved in the construction of a backyard pool of a residential property along Airways Avenue at the foot of Mt. Lunaman, at Voco Point, stumbled upon a variety of war relics including bullets, files, bayonets, and a cylinder bottle weighing about 3kg which was initially thought to be an unexploded bomb.
The workers said they will make a collection of the war relics and find out from their bosses what they can do with them.
The workers also said that another similar work party some blocks away had unearthed a box of cartridges.
