Mul must lure investors and develop Banz

Letters, Normal

I REFER to your report “Mul joins ruling NA” (Aug 12).
It is interesting to find out that the North Waghi MP Benjamin Mul joined the National Alliance two weeks before Jiwaka Day.
Since he was elected, he has done nothing for Banz town.
Banz is the central place where people from Jimi, North Waghi, South Waghi, Nondugul and other parts of Jiwaka come to do their shopping and other business.
The surrounding communities of Banz, the Bambilgnes (Mombol Kar area), are peaceful people who respect law and order.
That is why Banz is thriving whereas Minj is known as the ghost town.
I salute the surrounding communities of Banz for keeping the town peaceful.
Now that he is on the government’s side, Mul should be bringing development and luring investors.
It is Mul’s job now to work with the Jiwaka Transitional Authority to make Banz the central business centre for Jiwaka.
