Nambawan Super Ltd (NSL) members in Daru, Western, will no longer travel to Kiunga or Port Moresby after the superfund recently opened a new member service office there.
The opening of the Daru office now brings to 21 the total number of NSL offices in the country.
NSL manages superannuation funds totaling K6.4 billion for over 175,000 members from both the private and public sectors.
Chief executive Paul Sayer said NSL would eventually have service centres in all provinces across the country.
The fund’s membership has grown to over 175,000 and they are scattered across the country.
“The opening of the Daru office marks another milestone in numerous initiatives Nambawan Super has undertaken in the last 12 months,” Sayer said.
“This has been based around providing first-class service to our members. Nambawan Super understands the costs incurred and hardships faced to travel into major towns to gain access to our services, especially our members in Western.
“We thank these patient members for their understanding.”
The office offers a range of superannuation services and can issue statements, process applications, update member details and atten to general enquiries.
Nambawan Savings and Loans Society would also be represented by this office.
Currently, NSL has an office in Kiunga which is about an hour’s travel by plane from Daru.
The Kiunga office caters for members based in the Middle Fly and North Fly districts. There are plans to establish service centres in shopping centres in Port Moresby.
