Fifteen years on and the Nasfund Contributors Savings and Loan (NCSL) Society has grown from 18,164 members to more than 100,000 nationwide.
As part of a promotion to celebrate its 15th anniversary and the membership milestone, NCSL is having a competition with a prizemoney of K60,000.
To automatically qualify, members have to apply and be approved a loan of at least K2000. The promotion started on Monday and will run for 21 weeks, ending on Thursday, Sept 13. The draw will be on Sept 14.
NCSL’s general manager Vari Lahui urged all members to participate in the promotion and get the opportunity to win prizes.
“The prizes could be used to increase the NCSL savings and generate more monthly interest and/or reduce indebtedness which would further improve a member’s financial position,” he said.
NCSL’s marketing team leader Evelove Farapo said this cash giveaway promotion was “a first of its kind”.
“Our members have been advocates of the society and through their support, loyalty and trust, we’ve been able to thrive year on year,” she said.
“This promotion is a great opportunity and we urge all members to obtain loans to be in the draw to win.
“We’d like to see increased lending activity during these 21 weeks and encourage members to apply online via the member portal, mobile banking and biometric identification system (BIS) service which is available in all NCSL branches.
“We also have an offsite BIS service at FairPrice in Port Moresby.”
