I LODGED an application on the November 21, 2015, to withdraw my Nasfund savings at the Boroko branch.

I was told to provide a statutory declaration on my Eda Supa saving and I did. I did follow up after follow up.

I rang week in, week out on these numbers 73733000/3131836.

Their advice is always the same tone “still pending” and people on the phone referred me to Boroko branch and from Boroko they refer me to the head office.

I even went to Nasfund headquarters at the Habour City to see the concerned officer but was not allowed to access to the glass house.

The officers or managers in the glass offices should know that they are there because someone is working in the hot sun in Ramu Sugar, in the rainy Star Mountains of Western Province day and night, hot humid in Lihir/Simberi gold mines, rubber blocks in Newtown in Central, warehouses owned by the Asians and truck drivers ferrying goods and services up the Highlands.

You are well paid and sitting in glass office because of the people’s money.

Please discharge your duties with due care and diligently as you are supposed to do.

Continuous procrastination to process the request does not only lead to frustration but the actions of people at Nasfund are heartless.
