THE Port Moresby Nature Park along with event partner The National have announced the completion of the Mystery of the Shiny Egg competition and have drawn and given away 42 prizes to winners in the challenge.
The Mystery of the Shiny Egg was the park’s school holiday programme that ran from April 6 to -23 and involved participants finding a series of clues around the park to uncover the final mystery answer.
Prize sponsors for the event were PNG Air, Intercontinental Hotels Group, Brian Bell, RH Hypermarket, The National, Paradise Cinemas, Ela Motors, bmobile and Supreme Industries.
Nature Park general manager Michelle McGeorge said they were very happy with the success of the competition and were fortunate to have some amazing sponsors.
“This year we are focusing a lot more on family-friendly and interactive activities in the park that still provide learning and educational opportunities for those who participated and we have much more planned throughout 2019,”she said.
The park hosts more than 140,000 visitors each year and strives to set new benchmarks in tourism, animal welfare, conservation, research and community nature-based education.
One of the major winners Rahab Dimagi said she had an “awesome and adventurous day with her friends finding clues and solving the mystery of the shiny egg.”
“I was surprised to be announced a winner, I did not think I was going to win”, Dimagi said.
