THE National Capital District Public Servant Soccer Association will host the Papua New Guinea Football Association-sanctioned regional club championships from tomorrow.
The three-day tournament will be staged at the Pacific Institute of Leadership and Governance Oval.
Teams confirmed to take part in the men’s championship are Port Moresby Soccer Association’s Mungkas and Keleiruna, NCDPSSA’s Wantoks and Kempa, and Koupa Soccer Association’s Panapana and Chief Kapeala.
In the women’s division are Mungkas, University (PMSA), Wantoks and Tarangau (NCDPSSA).
PNGFA competition manager Simon Koima said the championships are open to last year’s minor premiers. He said the PNGFA executive committee had endorsed Southern associations to have their minor premiers and runners-up compete at the championships.
The fee for the championships is K500 per team and must be paid into PNGFA operations account (7002171143) at the Bank South Pacific, Waigani branch.
