A NEWLY established church in Finschhafen, Morobe, last Sunday raised its flags at Niall Reserve in Lae to declare the beginning of a week-long crusade.
New Guinea Independent Church director Kayaeng Rabisang said the church was all about being independent spiritually.
He said the church was formed in early 2013 and now had followers in Morobe and parts of Eastern Highlands.
“We came up with this church to make the country become spiritually independent, and not dependent like now,” Rabisang said.
The New Guinea Independent Church believes in God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit and God the Fire Holy Spirit as four persons in one God.
“This is the first time in the country and the whole wide world that we declare the fourth person in one God and that is Fire Holy Spirit,” Rabisang said.
