NEW team in the Port Moresby Suburban League competition, Dust Turf are seeking sponsorship.

The team is made up of boys from the Bomana Turn-off (Vanuatu) and the old Turf Club now taken over by Vitis Industries.

Dust Turf are the champions of the Bomana Off-Season League, winning the title for three consecutive years (2010-2012).

Their recent triumph was at the NCD Governor’s Easter Cup challenge, winning the cup final rematch against UPNG Pythons last Sunday.

They were runner-up in the NCD Governor’s Christmas Cup last year, going down to Morata Swans.

The man behind their success is president Dick Elo, who is confident of his boy’s abilities and believes they can win the suburban competition this year.

He is appealing to business houses and interested individuals to sponsor the team. Elo said they were seeking sponsorship because most players came from poor families and were unemployed.
