New college focusing on teachers

A COLLEGE to train and upgrade elementary school teachers to primary school or early childhood teachers will be based in Finchhafen, Morobe.
Education secretary Dr Uke Kombra said the Education Minister would be in Morobe to open the college.
He said the college would help upgrade elementary teachers to become primary or early childhood teachers.
There is an understanding between the PNG education institute and that college.
“We are undertaking another reform in the education system, that’s the school education system structure where we are moving prep into early childhood schools,” Dr Kombra said.
