THE PNG Civil and Identity Registry (PNGCIR) recently presented certificates to 103 students who were part of a volunteer programme facilitated by the organisation in Port Moresby.
The purpose of the programme was to instil in the students the right attitude, work ethic and experience through hands-on training and supervision by PNGCIR.
The students learned about six processes: registration, data entry, data management, approval, printing, and issuance of birth certificates and national identity documents (BNID).
Acting deputy registrar-general Salome Bogosia emphasised to the student volunteers having the right mindset and attitude towards work.
“Your attitude towards work and those around you will determine your future in any organisation,” she said.
Acting registrar-general Noel Mobiha was impressed with the performance of the student volunteers and assured those that graduated last year from various tertiary institutions that they would be engaged by PNGCIR.
