MOVIE World Ltd, a nationally-owned company has expanded its reach to NCD residents after opening up a new shop at the Vision City Megamall last Thursday.
The owner of Movie World, Albert Rocero, who is a naturalised citizen, said his aim was to bring consumer entertainment media to people of all ages through the selling of DVDs with a broad range of titles and game consoles.
The shop is also selling music DVDs and related items of both local and international artists for music enthusiasts.
Present to witness the opening of the shop were Community Development Minister Dame Carol Kidu and chief censor Steven Mala.
They both commended Rocero for his work in establishing a proper media library.
Mala also said next year would see a policy in place to see that proper establishment of media libraries were created to help put a stop all-too-common piracy of DVDs and related items in PNG.
Movie World Ltd also has two other DVD shops in NCD. One is situated at RH Gordon and the other is at RH Hohola.
