WESTPAC has released its new EFTPOS terminal which shoppers will find fast and secure.
Westpac’s regional head for South Asia and the Pacific Greg Pawson said the terminal was specifically designed to offer a high level of security and have inbuilt capacity to respond to communication delays.
“The terminal offers end-to-end encryption, which is the best safeguarding of customer data available,” he said.
“And lost revenue will be a thing of the past for merchants.
“As anytime network connectivity becomes unavailable, the terminal makes an immediate transition to the redundancy – meaning no downtime for the business or their customers.”
City Pharmacy Limited supermarkets general manager Peter Moore said the group’s Stop N Shop stored would be the first ones carry the new Westpac EFTPOS terminal.
“The new terminal is so reliable and has increased our checkout service tremendously for customers and minimised delays. Instead of waiting for up to 15 seconds, the transactions now take less than two seconds,” Moore said.
“As well, the modern features and portability of the terminal have created a significant point of difference for our Harbourside and Koki supermarkets. We are looking forward to rolling it out to the rest of our supermarkets in Port Moresby, and other CPL businesses.”
