New head of criminal investigations

GOOD leadership is required at the National Capital District’s police criminal investigation division, a senior police officer says.
NCD administration officer Supt Christopher Tamari said that at the handover ceremony of outgoing CID Chief Inspector John Daviaga to Chief Inspector Peter Kusup.
Daviaga served the police force for more than 30 years and said he was assigned to look after the NCD CID office at Boroko from June 6, 2016, until Commissioner Gari Baki sent the directive for someone else to take over.
“I am happy with the decision, have accepted it and I’m looking forward to my next assignment,” he said.
Tamari acknowledged Daviaga’s efforts, his time and leadership in the CID division.
