New rapid test kits on offer

 THE Star Lab Medical Supplies and Services continues to provide quality medical laboratory consumables and equipment at affordable prices to clinics and hospitals, an official says.

Star Lab managing director Peter Teiwaki mentioned the new rapid test kits they offered.

“Rapid Test Kits are commonly used in the laboratory because they are easy to use and provide results within minutes,” he said.

“They are also ideal for hospitals, clinics or health centres that have no lab facilities.”

Teiwaki said kits for malaria parasites helped diagnose the disease to ensure it was controlled.

He said blood testing services near Johnstons Pharmacy at Boroko were affordable because prices should never deter anyone from accessing basic health services.

He urged people to get tested on a regular basis as lifestyle diseases were now rampant.

“Many people have now changed and accepted the western lifestyle which brought about diseases like diabetes, high blood pressure, kidney problems and heart problems,” he said.
